About and method
Filler Charts shows which episodes of an anime are canon or filler, so you can decide what to watch. Every page has a color-coded episode chart, a plain list of filler and recap episodes, a skip planner and a short FAQ.
How episodes are classified
- Filler episodes tell original stories that do not adapt the source material.
- Recap episodes summarize earlier episodes. They are drawn in red with stripes and listed separately.
- Canon episodes are everything that is not marked as filler or recap.
- Unverified episodes are recent ones that have not had time to be classified.
- Mixed (orange) means partly filler. MyAnimeList has no such category.
Where the data comes from
MyAnimeList is the only reference. Its episode lists tag filler and recap episodes, and an episode without a tag is shown as canon. Every page shows the date it was last checked. Ongoing series are re-checked on a schedule, and episodes that aired in the last two weeks stay unverified because tags are often added late.
MyAnimeList lists each season as a separate entry. Here all seasons of a series live on one page. Episode numbers follow MyAnimeList: each season starts at episode 1 unless MyAnimeList itself continues the numbering. Seasons are shown as columns labeled S1, S2 and so on; hovering a label shows the full season name.
Community votes
Visitors can vote canon, recap or filler on any episode. For unverified episodes the chart shows the community result once enough people agree. Votes never overwrite a verified type.
Who runs this site
Filler Charts is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with MyAnimeList, any anime studio or any streaming service. Posters are hotlinked from MyAnimeList and remain the property of their owners.
